Let me start by saying you were honestly a gr8 man, even in your darkest times you somehow seen the light and brought much light to us all. I so want to thank you for being that such a person and for being a part of my life. And as Mandy previously said your "Quirkyness" was amazing. Thank you for being a great Grandfather to my children also. You will be sadly and deeply missed by us all may God hold you peacefully until we meet again Love you.

I worked many many hours with Harold on the Kansas City, Missouri Police Dept. He was always cheerful and intent upon doing a great job for the citizens he had sworn to protect. When I was dispatched with Harold to a difficult call, I always knew it was going to come out alright and we would walk away safely. He was a true friend and I know he will sorely be missed. He was one of the good guys. God Bless him and his loved ones. Jon

I will never forget the many memories I have of you. From the Disney movies I'd watch in the"den" in your house in independence to sneaking to your basement to look at your dummies. Or the memories of picking up Trevor and all of us kids just spending time with you at your house. I remember crawling in bed with you because i got scared at night and you didn't make me go back to my bed. I felt safe. The time i was terribly sick and you came to the hospital right away laid your hand upon my head said a prayer and kissed my head. It wasn't long after i felt perfect. That moment was the first i ever thought wow God is great. So glad you were a part of that. I'll always remember you're quirkiness and the magic tricks you did that amazed me. Also teaching me how to make the popping sound with my finger inside my cheek. All these memories have flashed before my eyes these past two days. I am sad because I miss you and even more sad for the few years we missed, but I can't help but smile. I will never forget you and I love you. May you rest in peace with the lord in Heaven for all eternity. I will see you again someday :-)

We are so sorry to hear of Harold's passing. We always enjoyed Harold's stories, smile, laugh and gift of prayer. He will be missed by many. Jerry and I hate we will not be able to make the trip for services because of health reasons and Dot is on a trip at present. We will send a memorial in Harold's memory. Please know you all remain in our thoughts and prayers! Love & Prayers, Jerry & Shelia Birch
