Hattie Pauline Newman

Pauline Newman, 81, of Fort Smith, died October 17, 2016 in Fort Smith. She was born July 16, 1935 in Paris, AR to Joseph Jackson and Florence Ester Whitecotton Turner. She was retired from the Whirlpool Corp and was a member of Victory Temple.

She is survived by one son, Kim and wife Leigh Ann Newman of Fort Smith; one brother, Sam Turner of Midway, AR; and one grandson, Brandon Newman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy James Newman.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at 10:00 AM in the Victory Temple at 3912 Brookenhill Drive in Fort Smith with burial to follow at 12:00 noon in Ellsworth Cemetery in Paris, AR, all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Curtis Turner, Joe Turner, Jackie Turner, Clifford Turner, Jeff Turner, and Terry Inman. Honorary pallbearers will be Sam Turner and Brandon Newman.

The family will greet friends at Edwards Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5-7 PM. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Debbie Furman and Virginia LeFlore of Grace at Home and to Peachtree Hospice for their excellent care.
