Helen Davis

Helen Davis, 93, of Fort Smith, AR, passed away Saturday, September 27th, 2014, in Fort Smith. She was born October 20th, 1920 in Piney, AR to the late William and Joyce (Scalf} Ross. She was retired from the Fabric Department at Wal-Mart. She was a member of the Pleasant Valley Church of Christ in Van Buren, AR. She was preceded in death by three husbands Othel Thresher, Haskell Davenport and Roscoe Davis, a son David Thresher, a granddaughter Tracy Parker, three sisters and one brother. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 30th, 2014, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Forest Park Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. She is survived by two grandchildren Gwen Brooks and husband Jeff of Greenwood and David Thresher of Fort Smith, seven great grandchildren, twelve great-great grandchildren, daughter-in-law Mary Thresher of Fort Smith, sister-in-law Ann Stouffer of Fort Smith and a very special nephew James Goines and wife Norma of Van Buren. Pallbearers will be Jeff Brooks, Cabol Brooks, James Goines, David Thresher, James Parker and Jerry Sparkman. The family will visit with friends Monday from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
