Helen Volene Harvell, 93, passed away May 4, 2022 in Fort Smith. She was born May 9, 1928 in Cross Roads. AR to the late Alva W. Mitchael and Atha Mae (Corley) Mitchael. She was retired from the Social Security Administration, and was a member of Oak Cliff Baptist Church.
Volene enjoyed working in her yard, playing the piano, sewing, reading, and she loved her church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rex; one sister, Irene Biggs; three brothers, Corley, Corman, and A. W. Mitchael.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Parker and her husband Larry of Fort Smith; her son, Michael Harvell and his wife Kim of Maumelle, AR; one sister, Thelma Jones of Fayetteville, AR; one brother, Bill Mitchael of Spiro, OK; Sister-in-law, Jackie Mitchael of Fort Smith; and one grandson, Aidan Harvell.
Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, May 7, 2022, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Caulksville Cemetery.
The family will visit with friend from 1 PM-2 PM prior to the service on Saturday.
Pallbearers will be: Aidan Harvell, Morris, Ronnie, Ricky, and Kenny Mitchael, and Larry Biggs.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Al Biggs and Larry Parker.
