Henry Russell Moore, 71, of Fort Smith, passed away on Monday, October 23, 2023. He was born on July 3, 1952 in Hot Springs. Henry was a retired sales and purchasing agent for Tankersley Foods Service. After retirement, he drove a school bus for 2 years for the Ozark Catholic Academy. He was a member Immaculate Conception Catholic Church where he served as a sacristan, a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Past Grand Knight and Past District Deputy. Henry was a volunteer conductor for the Arkansas Missouri Railroad for 23 years, he also volunteered for the Fort Smith Trolley Museum for 29 years and drove the train at Creekmore Park during the Christmas season and during the summer.
He is survived by his wife Mary, of the home; two daughters, Katherine Moore of Redwood City, CA and Ellen Moore of Fort Smith; two sons, Daniel Moore and his wife Sandra, of Alma and Phillip Moore of Fort Smith.
Rosary service will be at 10:00 am Monday October 30, 2023, followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:30 am, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Inurnment will be in the Immaculate Conception Columbarium. Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
