Herman Jackson Yandell

Herman Jackson Yandell, 88, of Fort Smith, died November 16, 2010 in Fort Smith. He was retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, he was a member of the Telephone Pioneer Club, Golden Eagle Camping Club, and the First Baptist Church. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II.

He is survived by his wife Ella Jo Yandell of Fort Smith; one son, Robert “Bob” Yandell of Fort Smith; daughter- in-law, Nancy Yandell of Fort Smith; six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. He was preceded in death by one daughter Sandy Finnerson, one son, Stephen Yandell, and one daughter-in-law, Jeanie Yandell.

Funeral service will be Friday, November 19, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the First Baptist Church of Fort Smith with burial to follow in Roselawn Cemetery all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons and great grandsons.

The family will greet friends at Edwards Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 5-7 PM.
