

On June 3rd 2015 Imogene Daggs, a wonderful and beautiful wife, mother and lady, departed this life to join Jesus and her departed family in Heaven. She was born April 15th, 1925 at Branch, Arkansas to Gus and Bertha (Kerr) Smith.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Reverend Clifton Daggs, of the home, her son and daughter-in-law, Phillip and Karen Daggs of Keota, Ok, her daughter and son-in-law Sharon and Quang Truong of Fort Smith, AR. She left behind 2 brothers and their wives, James and Marylon Smith of Booneville, AR, Robert and Jean Smith also of Booneville, AR, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was the proud grandmother of 8 and great grandmother of 16, all of whom she loved very much. She was preceded in death by her son, Lionel Daggs of Hackett, AR, her mother and father, five sisters and four brothers.
She was a homemaker and retired from T. J. Smith Box Company in Fort Smith where she worked for many years. As the pastor’s wife at New Bethel Assembly of God, she loved her church family. She enjoyed cooking for the church socials and looked forward to them each month. An active member of the Gospel Gang, a band of local gospel singers who minister to the residents of local nursing homes, she helped bring the message of Jesus Christ and joy into other people’s lives through music.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, June 5 at New Bethel Assembly of God Church, 2201 North 8th Street in Fort Smith, under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Fort Smith.
Pallbearers will be Chris Daggs, Mark Truong, Alex Daggs, L.C. White, Charlie Rye and Kevin Smith. Honorary Pallbearers will be Scott Daggs and the ministers and their wives. Family will greet friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
