Iris Ann Sumners

Iris Ann Sumners, 83, of Fort Smith, passed away on Sunday, November 7, 2021. She was born on April 4, 1938 in Fort Smith to the late Robert and Charlcie Fowler. She was retired from AT&T and a member of the Pioneer Club. Iris and her husband Speedy, were the owners of the Sally Ann Market and Liquors. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Davey Lee “Speedy” Sumners; two brothers, Wilson Fowler and Lathaniel Lee Fowler.

Graveside Service will be 10:00 A.M. Friday at Roselawn Cemetery, arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

She is survived by four sons, Davey Lee Sumners (Sally) of Idaho Falls, ID, Robert Floyd Sumners of Fort Smith, Randall Clay Sumners of Hackett and Charles Kelly Sumners of Fort Smith; a brother, Robert Randall Fowler of Fort Smith; a sister-in-law, Shirley Fowler of Cameron, OK; three grandchildren, Jacob Randall Sumners, Corey and Zeke Mayberry, along with several nieces and nephews and special family friends; Richard, Caleb (Sarah) and Abigail Rudder, Larry and Debbie Rudder.

Family will greet friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
