Jack David Groves

Jack “David” Groves joyfully embraced his mother, Margaret, his father, Jack, his sister, Carol Clifton, and his nephew, Tim Clifton, upon his arrival on Heaven’s Golden Streets, Friday February 11th, 2022. His earthly journey began on April 20th, 1942, “in the middle of World War II.”

David refused to be defined by his handicaps, but eagerly anticipated Heaven without physical restrictions.

Viewing of Tall Boy will be from 10:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M. on Monday, February 21, 2022 at Edwards Funeral Home, 201 N. 12th St., Fort Smith, AR 72901. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 215 N. 6th St., Fort Smith, AR 72901. Interment will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park, immediately following the service.

David is survived by his nephew/guardian, Scott Clifton, his wife and David’s primary caregiver, Mariko, and great nephew, Eric, all of the home; his nephew/guardian Barry Clifton and his wife Kathrine of Little Rock, AR; Tim’s widow, Kathy of Bloomer, AR; his great nephew, Mike Clifton of Little Rock, AR, and numerous grand nephews and nieces.

David was blessed with many warm and compassionate caregivers. The family is grateful beyond words for the love these devoted people showed David during his final 21 years living at home.
