

Jack Palmer, Sr. 84, of Roland, Oklahoma passed away Thursday November 18, 2010 in Fort Smith. He was born July 4, 1926 in Colgate, OK to the late Harvey and Tildy Frances Palmer. He was a retired overseas oilfield worker, a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II and a life member of the VFW. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Palmer.
Services will be 9:00 AM Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at Fentress Mortuary Chapel with burial and Navy honors to follow at the Fort Smith National Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Fentress Mortuary of Fort Smith.
He is survived by his daughter Betty West of Harrah, OK; four sons; Jim Palmer of Sallisaw, OK, Tim Palmer of Roland, OK, Jack Palmer of Alma and Jack Joaquin of Bakerfield, CA. He is also survived by six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Richie Chapman, Austin Gragg, Lee Robertson, Shawn Jeremiah, Nathan Lewis, and Bubba Fleetwood. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenny Hubbard, Sheridon Chapman, Tim Palmer, Jr. and Bryceton Palmer.

Visitation will be 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Monday, November 22, 2010 at the funeral home.
