James Duane Kennel, 75, of Fort Smith, passed away Saturday, February 11, 2017. He was born September 28, 1941. He was a retired forklift driver for Rheem Air Conditioning and he attended Eagle Lighthouse Tabernacle. He was an Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War.
Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Friday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel.
James is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen Kennel; his children, Teresa Harp of Lynden, WA, Angela Warren of Temecula, CA, Pamela Bly of Mountain Grove, MO, James Kennel of Raleigh, NC, Douglas Bly of Muldrow, OK, Brent Kennel of Tulsa, OK, Brian Bly of Fort Smith, AR, April Neely of Temecula, CA, Kara Simmons of Fort Smith, AR, Miles Kennel of Fort Smith, AR and Mickey Kocsy of Redondo Beach, CA; twenty grandchildren and thirty-one great grandchildren.
The family will visit with friends Thursday evening from 6:00 PM-7:30 PM at the funeral home.
Burial will be at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith on Tuesday, February 21, at 2:00 PM.
