Jane Alice Glover, 86 of Rogers, passed away on October 25, 2021. She was born on April 25, 1935 in Frog Town, Arkansas to Marion Hobbs and Lula Mathis Hobbs. Jane was a strong Christian woman who loved her Jesus and her Sunday School Class. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Bentonville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband George William Glover, Jr.; siblings, Hazel Moss, Geneva Salter, Robert Hobbs and Marion Hobbs, Jr.
She is survived by two daughters, Sharon Mattingly of Rogers, Kathy Gay and husband Mark of Cave Springs; one son, William Glover and wife Kathy of Bauxite; a twin brother, Gene Hobbs and wife Francis of Holly Grove; five grandchildren, Matthew Mattingly, Brett Mattingly, Tyler Gay, Sara Meyer and Jennifer Luna; ten great grandchildren and numerous extended family and friends.
Jane was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her eyes would light up at your presence.
She enjoyed cooking and entertaining her family. She had the best food on the table. She was lovingly known as “the cooking grandma”.
Jane enjoyed road trips with her husband of 50 years. When the kids were growing up they made memories camping through the Grand Canyon, Grand Tetons and ending up at her siblings homes in California. After retirement, they were able to go to Maui, along with multiple trips to New York and Boston to see Sharon and grandsons.
As a mother to two daughters her pleasure was shopping with her girls and having lunch at the newest restaurant in town. She loved attending William’s musical concerts whether he was playing the sax or singing tenor/bass.
Funeral service will be 10 AM, Friday, October 29, 2021 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
