Janet Carol Wyatt Wilson, 76, of Fort Smith passed away Monday, July 16, 2018 in Fort Smith. Janet was a graduate of the University of Arkansas with a BSN. She retired from nursing at Sparks Hospital in Fort Smith. She was the founder of the Fort Smith Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association which she started at her kitchen table. Janet was the daughter of the late Rev Charles Baldwin Wyatt and Vadene Briley Wyatt.
She is survived by her son, Steven and his wife Kelly of Virginia; three grandchildren, Brandon Charles Wilson, Devin Wyatt Wilson and Natalie Clark of Virginia; and five great-granddaughters.
Funeral service will be held Thursday at 2pm at St Paul United Methodist Church in Fort Smith. Visitation will be 1-2pm at the church before the service.
Honorary pallbearers will be former members of Wyatt Memorial United Methodist Church in Fort Smith which was named for Janet’s father. Burial will be held Friday in Pine Bluff. Services are under the direction of Fentress Mortuary in Fort Smith.
