My husband and I rent one of their houses and that is how we met Jerry and Betty. They were very special people you could tell immediately! I miss visiting them with our daughter and talking about cats and boys. She still talks about the donuts and banana Popsicles. The last thing I talked to Betty about was her wishes for a tree in the front yard. Dear Betty we will get you that tree! Truly missed but never forgotten!

I worked with Jerry and the "IBM" guys for about 7 years in Fort Smith from 1992 to mid-1999. What a precious, precious man, Jerry Allen was. I came to know Betty through Jerry and always enjoyed talking with her when I would call their house or stop by. There could never be a truer friend than Jerry and our friendship did not stop just because we quit working together. I shall miss those twinkling eyes of his with that smile. I so wish I could pay my last respects in person but I will be out of town on business. How bitter sweet that Jerry and Betty will have their final goodbye together. The world has lost two precious people. I am a better person for knowing Betty and Jerry and am so thankful for their friendship. May God Bless their families.
