Jerry D. Hart

Jerry D. Hart, 63, of Fort Smith, passed away Friday, November 23, 2012 in Fort Smith. He was born August 20, 1949 in Fort Smith. He was a machinist for Air Compressor Equipment Company for 29 years. He attended St. Paul United Methodist Church. He is a member and Past Master of Belle Point Lodge #20, member of Fort Smith Flight Masters, Lifetime Member of the NRA, member of the Fort Smith Area Amateur Radio Club and member of the Sebastian County ARES/RACES Emergency Communications.

Jerry was a very skilled mechanic. He could fix anything. He performed many major classic car restorations. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and NHRA Racing with his wife of nearly 40 years. He also enjoyed the antics of the 3 family cats. He especially loved playing fetch with Gizmo.

Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, November 27, 2012, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Poarch officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery under the Direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife Sherry.

Pallbearers will be Louis Nutter, Raymond Nutter, Larry Murry, Mark Clayton, Rick Tinder and Johnny Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be his Brothers of Belle Point Lodge #20.

The family will visit with friends Monday evening from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM at the Funeral Home.
