He was a retired Heavy Equipment Operator, was a member of Belle Point Masonic Lodge, and he enjoyed playing dominoes, and fishing.
He is survived by two sons, Jackie Joe Shipman of Winslow, AR and Jessie Ray Shipman of Fort Smith; ten grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
