Joanne Lee Rinks

Joanne Lee Rinks, 81, of Watervliet, MI, formerly of Fort Smith, died April 30, 2014 in Watervliet. She was born December 28, 1932 in Benton Harbor, MI to Robert I. and Verona M. Crawdell Jarvis. She was a retired employee of Baldor Electric in Fort Smith and she was of the Baptist Faith.

She is survived by four sons, John & wife Kathy Rinks of Springdale, AR., Ken and wife Becky Rinks of Covert, MI., Rob Rinks of North Little Rock, AR., and Greg and wife Gabi Rinks of Waldorf, MD; four sisters, Leola Joyce Pugh of Coloma, MI., Ida and husband Less Hauch of Coloma, MI., Hazel Dougherty of Oswego, IL., and Jacqueline and husband Kenneth Low of Gobles, MI; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Johnnie Walker Rinks, Sr; one son, Billie Joe Rinks; her parents Robert and Verona Jarvis; two brothers, Robert Jarvis and James Jarvis; and one sister, Shirley Unruh.

Graveside service will be Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at 12:00 Noon in the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

The family will greet friends from 10:30 – 11:30 AM on Tuesday prior to the graveside service at Edwards Funeral Home.
