Joanne Taber

Patricia Joanne Taber, 72 of Fort Smith, passed away Thursday, January 1, 2015. She was born April 15, 1942 to the late Sid and Violet McSpadden in Stigler, Oklahoma. Joanne graduated from Stigler High School at the age of 16. She then moved to Fort Smith to attend Sparks School of Nursing on a full scholarship. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, a retired RN, and was a devoted Grandmother. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Douglas Taber and best friend Joanne Etzkorn.

Memorial Mass will be 2:00 PM Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Christ the King Catholic Church with inurnment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Fentress Mortuary.

Joanne is survived by her daughter; Lana Hunt and her husband Gary of Fort Smith, her son Brent Taber of Fort Smith, her brother David McSpadden and his wife of Jackie of Stigler, OK and her two grandchildren, Taber and Jensen Hunt of Fort Smith.
