John Edward Finley Sr.

John Edward Finley, Sr., 91 of Barling, AR passed away Saturday, May 17, 2014. He was born November 11, 1922 in Newark, NJ to the late John and Katherine Finley. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He was retired Insurance Underwriter and a U.S. Army Air Corps Veteran of World War II. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Carmela Finley, and daughter-in-law Deborah Finley.

Memorial Mass will be 10:30 AM Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Barling. Interment of ashes will be at the Peequest Union Cemetery in Great Meadows, NJ at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Fentress Mortuary of Ft. Smith.

Mr. Finley is survived by three sons: John E. Finley, Jr. of Lavaca, George Finley and his wife Cheryl of Spotsylvania, VA, Michael Finley of Washington, NJ and former daughter-in-law Linda Finley, as well as three Grandchildren; Maggie Jerrell, Colleen Finley, and Katie Finley, and great, Grandson Jaiden Jerrell.
