John was preceded in death by his infant son.
He is survived by his wife, Karen of Van Buren; Step-daughters, Samantha, Kathelina, Elizabeth, and Tabitha; his sisters, Annie Stegall, and Jeanette Hampton; and eleven grandchildren.
Cremation services are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
