Joy Sharum, 85, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 surrounded by her family. She was born November 7, 1932 in Booneville, Arkansas. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Fort Smith, Arkansas. She retired from Southwestern Bell.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Sumners (Buddy); two grandchildren, Trey Sumners (Courtney) and Sarah Quillman (Cody); four great grandchildren, as well as her brother, Bill Lovett (Betty).
She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Raymond Sharum; and her parents, Vivian and David Lovett.
Graveside service will be at 11:00am Friday, December 15, 2017 at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
