

Juan “Taco” Medrano, Sr., passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2022. He was born on January 25, 1948 in Torreon, Mexico to the late Jose’ Sr. and Socorro Medrano. Juan served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was a retired truck driver for R&R Pipeline. He was a member of Vietnam Veterans American Chapter 467. Juan was an honorary member of the Girl Scouts troop #, pulling their float in all the local parades. He loved deer camping, but most of all, Juan loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Aileen and two brothers, Jose’, Jr. and Javier Medrano.
Funeral Service will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, September 9, 2022 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel, followed by interment with military honors at the Fort Smith National Cemetery.
He is survived by three daughters, Angelia Daniels (Danny) of Barling, Tamra Garrett (Russell) of Arkoma and Andrea Medrano of Barling; a son, Juan Medrano, Jr. (Kelly) of Barling; two sisters, Herminia Pacheco and Josefina Medrano, both of Immokalee, FL; a brother, Martin Medrano of Immokalee, FL; six grandchildren, Aleshia Gilbreath (Steven), Jarrod, Makayla, and Sarah Medrano, Jayden and Mariah Webb; four great grandchildren, Riley, Aleena, and Marshall Medrano and Luke Gilbreath. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and bonus kids.
Family will greet friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm Thursday at Edwards Funeral Home.
