

Julia Morgan Evans, 83, has been escorted by her husband Simpson, and her son Scott, to joins God’s flock on October 26, 2011. She was born November 7, 1927 in Hamlet, N.C. and enjoyed growing up with 7 brothers and sisters.
She was married to Captain Simpson Evans Jr. on June 22, 1957 and she was very proud to be the wife a retired Naval Aviator.
She is survived by 1 daughter; Kandace Evans and her three children; Lee, Haleigh, and Koi, all of Fort Smith, 1 brother; Robert Morgan of Wilmington, N.C., 1 sister; Myrtle Ratzel of Florida, 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
She has given the gift of life by donating her body to U.A.M.S. for medical research.
When she died, she asked to “go back to college”. To everyone who knew her, she was the Captain’s wife or Ms. Julie. She was a remarkable seamstress and she enjoyed life to the fullest.
Memorial service will be 1:00 PM Monday, November 7, 2011 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel.
