Kathleen Corbell, 88, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, September 27, 2021. She was born July 10, 1933 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas and lived her early years in Mountainburg, Arkansas before returning to reside in Ft. Smith for most of her remaining life. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 68 years, Otis Corbell; parents, Lester and Minnie Bull and five siblings, Nona Belle, Dorthey, Chester, Junior and Donald Jo and grandson Lance Hutchinson. She is survived by two children Donna Stanton and husband Pat, and Michael Corbell and wife Lori; seven grandchildren, Collin Stanton and wife Marla, Cody Stanton and wife Meredith, Loren Layton and husband Destin, Justin Corbell and wife Sallye, Jacob Corbell and wife Leigh, Jarred Corbell and wife Katie and Mary Corbell along with 15 great-grandchildren and was looking forward to two more.
Kathleen loved being a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and treasured the time she was able to spend with them. She was a great friend to many and touched countless others with her kindness and thoughtfulness. She was a devout Christian, loved the Lord and was known for being a powerful prayer warrior.
Kathleen’s family is comforted by knowing she has arrived in heaven to meet with her beloved Otis on the porch swing, talking about their family and all the loving friends they shared.
