Kenny Peerson II

Kenneth Harlin Peerson II, known as Kenny, Passed away at his home on November 22, 2015. Kenny was a long-time Fort Smith resident, and graduated from Southside High School in 1976. He graduated from the ROTC program at Arkansas Tech University in 1981 and served as a Military Intelligence officer in the Army for 12 years. After retiring from the Army, Kenny moved his family back to Fort Smith and became a beloved biology teacher at Northside High school, where he taught for 13 years until his retirement.

Kenny is survived by his wife Linda; his sister Kenda Coleman; his brother Melvin Lee Peerson; his son Josh Peerson and daughter Sarah Preston, as well as his two beautiful grandchildren, and his beloved dog Mongo.

Kenny’s memorial service will be held at 1 o’clock on Saturday, November 28th at Edward’s Funeral home on N 12th street in Fort Smith. Services are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
