Not a day goes by that I don't think about you!! I pray you are dancing with the Lord and His angels!!

Hello, My name is Patricia Edwards. Tomorrow is National Boss' day. I can easy send a message to a current supervisor but it's important that I remember past leaders and the support they have given during my career. As I searched for past leaders, I came across the news of Dr. Penix. It has been many years since I worked with the Department of Education when the state of Arkansas had the fortune of having Dr. Penix as a leader. I am sadden to hear of his passing. But I remember the work he did and what a difference he made for me and for the state of Arkansas through his hard work. I send my best regards to the family. Thank you for sharing his light with us. Happy Boss' day, Dr. Penix.

Hope you got the balloon we sent your

way on your birthday. We love you and miss you everyday. Thanks for being there now to look out for us as our guardian angel. Love you always, Sherri, your beloved wife and friend., Sean, Kyle and now your new daughter in law, Juli..

Kevin, one of the best bosses I ever had. Oh the laughs we had!!! You are not going to believe this, but a gentleman came into my office and wanted insurance on a home. I looked at the address and thought this is Kevin's old address. I looked at the county assessors web-site and it was...made me sad, you loved that place. Peace my friend and like our favorite song in the office..."Lets get it started in here." Happy, Happy Birthday!!!!

Happy bday to my angel above! Not a day goes by that you don't cross my mind and heart!

Miss you everyday. Love you always! Sherri, Sean, Kyle

March 1st would have marked our 35th anniversary of our fist date. I think of you and miss you everyday. The boys miss you and hate that you have missed out on some crucial time periods in their lives. They knew you were there in spirit. Thanks to the anonymous friend who keeps this site up to date. We really appreciate it. He was loved and admired by many. Love you always!

Dear Sherri, I just heard tonight that Kevin had passed away. I am so very sorry for you and the boys. You were both an inspiration to me when I taught in Ft. Smith. You always and still do have my admiration as a Mom and an educator. I can't imagine how hard this past year has been for you. God bless you and your children.

Kevin was a great inspiration to me. I was shock to hear of his passing. He was such a highly motivated person. I had the wonderful experience to meet him when he was a district manager with Farmers Ins. He was kind and a true professional. I pray that Gods strength keeps his family.

I was thinking about Kevin yesterday. The laptop case I use, is an extra one he had...I do believe I'll keep it forever.

Sherri - I don't know if you remember me from Magnolia but I have thought of you and Kevin so often over the years since we were together there. I was surprised to read of his passing because it hadn't been all that long ago that I reconnected with him on facebook. My memories of Kevin are happy ones - he always had a smile and a way of lifting my spirits. I hope you have seen, from all the postings (I just read them all) how much your whole family is loved by everyone who knew Kevin. God hold you in the palm of His comforting hands and give you peace. Deana

Really enjoied the brief time I worked with Kevin at Farmers Insurance. He always brightened any room he entered. May God grant you His comfort and peace! Our prayers are with you.

Wow! Mr Penix in a nutshell. He was my kindergarten teacher at Westside in 1984. The very first male in history. He made such an impact on me, enough so that I actually spoke of him fondly today. I picked up the Banner News this evening and read the news. My heart breaks for you Mrs Sherri and your boys. I want Sean and Kyle to know what a wonderful teacher he was and at age 33, I 'll never forget Mr Penix!! My prayers are with you.

Mr. Penix was my third grade teacher many years ago. I have fond memories of standing at his desk reciting multiplication tables and earning baseball cards. Several years ago he recognized me and called my name across a crowded restaurant. What a blessing it was to catch up with him after many years had passed. I was so sad to hear of his passing. My prayers are with your family during this difficult time.

Sherri and family, please find comfort in knowing that Kevin is no longer suffering. I am truly sorry for your loss. As I spoke earlier to you, he was highly favored at the Arkansas Department of Education Assessment Office. I am here for you and your family. Kevin wore many hats in his career and wore them well. Your family has my deepest heartfelt sympathy.
