Kimberley Renee Lewis, 55, of Fort Smith, AR, passed away on Monday, July 28, 2025. She was born on June 3, 1970, in Fort Smith to the late Leon Delbert Resch and Shirley George Resch. Kim, as she was known to her family and friends, worked as a caregiver for Bost Incorporated. She was a member of Evangel Temple Church in Fort Smith. Kim was a very special woman, who loved her husband dearly, she was his soul, and his rock. She loved her grandchildren and her two puppy dogs. Kim enjoyed making crafts and loved attending craft fairs, especially War Eagle!
She is survived by her husband, Matthew Lewis, Sr.; two daughters, Cassie Sanders (Trey) of Wister, OK and Ashley Lewis (Micheal Tran) of Spiro, OK; four sons, Brent Spessard of Fort Smith, Matthew Lewis, Jr. (Whitney) and James Lewis (Mandy), both of Poteau, OK and David Lewis (Hailey Schaefer) of Mansfield, AR, and one brother, Randy Resch of Pocola, OK. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jaydon, Hailey, Daniel, Bryce, Arieys, Blayze, Dax, Jackson, Mellanee, Au’Chelle, LynRay, Jayden, Jasper, Jaddex, Kylan and Gracelynn.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday, August 4, 2025, at Edwards Funeral Home, 201 North 12th Street, Fort Smith.
Funeral Service will be 10:00 am Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at Barling City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jaydon Swearingen, Matt Lewis, Jr., Trey Sanders, David Lewis, James Lewis and Keith Wilson. Honorary pallbearers will be Brent Spessard, Randy Resch and Micheal Tran.
