LaJune Hatley
December 20, 1933 – January 2, 2021
LaJune Hatley, 87, of Hackett (formerly of Fort Smith), passed from this life January 2, 2021. LaJune was born December 20, 1933 in Waldron, Arkansas to Grady and Daisy Frazier Rice. LaJune was retired from Riverside Furniture Manufacturing and Red Barn Steak House. Everyone who met her became an instant friend. Her hospitality drew people to her and she treated everyone like family. She loved reading her Bible and watching her birds from the window. LaJune was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter (Elizabeth Heavener), her husband (R. O. Hatley), and a sister (Beth Koprovic). She is survived by a daughter, Gayla Patterson and her husband Joey; a son, Anthony Rice and his wife Lisa; a sister, Patsy Starr and her husband Bob; a brother, Grady Rice and his wife Sue; and six grandchildren: Wade Crawford, Caitlyn Mize and her husband Dalton, Amy Rice, Paul Rice, Christina Hollon, and Tamara Goff and her husband Michael. Currently, no public services are scheduled. LaJune will be laid to rest next to her husband at the Fort Smith National Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. To the family of LaJune Hatley. We knew June through the upholstery business. She & her family upholstered several sofas & chairs for us. We will miss her as I need a chair upholstered now. God bless her & her family🙏🙏🙏

I had the privilege of working with June at Southland furniture. She was such a wonderful lady and friend. I will miss getting a Christmas card from her every year. RIP dear friend.
