LeRoy Armstrong, 62, of Van Buren passed from this life December 12, 2021 in Fort Smith. He was born July 9, 1959, in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, to Chessie LeRoy and JoAnn Simmons Armstrong. LeRoy recently retired, because of health issues, after a long career at Arkola Sand & Gravel. For the last 20 years LeRoy was behind the wheel of Unit 164.
If you ever told LeRoy you loved him, he always responded, “I love you more”.
LeRoy is survived by his partner Julie Lee; his daughter Amanda (Josh) Kinnard; two sons Chris (Amy) Armstrong and Harley (Molly Gulley) Armstrong; ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren; sister Kelly Kliewer, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Georgianna Neal and a brother, Eugene Armstrong.
The family will gather at a later date to celebrate LeRoy’s life. Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
