Lloyd is my friend’s dad and what I remember the most about him was his kindness, his generosity, and his smiling eyes. He made a bigger impression on my life than he knew. He let me tag along on a family vacation to Gulf Shores one year and it was the first time I ever experienced anything like that. Now Gulf Shores is one of my favorite places to vacation and every time I’m there, I always think of the summer I was there with Christie and her family. I never really told Lloyd how thankful and appreciative I was and how much it meant to me. So, thank you Lloyd! I know the angels in heaven are rejoicing because you are with them, but you are still here in everyone’s hearts and memories. RIP

George and Lloyd have been friends since they were 5 years old. I knew him in high school through George since they lived next door to each other. I considered him a dear friend. He was always smiling and seemed sincerely glad to see you. Such a gentleman!! He was so thrilled when he heard George and I had gotten back together after 25 years. We love you Lloyd.

I met Lloyd in 1967 when we were in Millington, Tn for aviation electronics training while in the Navy. From that day until I left the Navy in 1970, Lloyd and I were to follow each other from duty station to duty station.

We served in squadron RVAH-11 on board the USS Kitty Hawk in the Gulf of Tonkin during the Vietnam War. We shared a bunk space consisting of an aisle and 3 vertical bunks on each side.

My heart is heavy, but lightened knowing he had a wonderful loving support group.

RIP my friend

Lloyd and Rhonda selflessly took me and my kids under their wing from the day we met while I lived just down the road from them. His kindness, quiet strength, and devotion to God sustained his quality of life and many projects.
I am forever changed for the better and always keeping an eye out for an opportunity to pay their kindness forward.
Lloyd, you are a beautiful soul. I know your place in heaven will be well tended, quiet, beautiful, and doors wide open for visitors.
Rhonda, I’m sending you my heart and hugs. If I was nearby, I’d bring you some tea and a shoulder.
Love and appreciate you both!
