Louise Pauline Dahlem, 81, of Fort Smith passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2012 in Fort Smith. She was born June 5, 1931 in Altus, AR. She was a homemaker and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ladies Auxiliary at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary and Cursillo.
She was preceded in death by her parents Jake and Theresa (Gluzman) Elser, husband Herman J. Dahlem, son-in-law Teddy Boyd, two brothers Larry and Charles Elser and sister Catherine Hall.
Rosary will be 6:00 PM Friday, June 29, 2012, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Greg Luyet officiating. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
She is survived by her children Marilyn Boyd of Fort Smith, Susan Dubois and husband Bill of Fort Smith, Patty Borengasser and husband Richard of Fort Smith, Richard Dahlem and wife Donna of Fort Smith and Donnie Dahlem and wife Malis of Fort Smith, sister-in-laws Agnes Elser of Barling, Dee Elser of New York, Agnes Rinke of Lawrence, KS, Emily Dahlem of Eudora, KS, Elizabeth Kramer of Fort Smith and Ceil Taylor of Ozark, AR and Aunt Marie Elser of Alma, 13 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Cliff Boyd, Stuart Boyd, Sean Dahlem, Christopher Dahlem, Andy Dubois, Eddie Knight and Wayne Hall. Honorary pallbearers will be Terri Knight, Sara Hall, Amanda Griffin, Theresa Dubois, Ashley Dahlem, Donna Dahlem, Beth Dahlem and Jake Dahlem.
