

Lucille “Mimi” Cooper, 73, of Fort Smith passed away on Monday, January 23, 2012. She was born June 12, 1938 in Belleville, AR. She spent most of her life working on her family’s farm, but devoted her last years to her great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly. She lived life simply and savored every moment. Her faith and love of God allowed her to pass calmly with peace and dignity.
She is preceded in death by her husband Arthur Franklin Cooper, and her son James. She is survived by her children: Philip Martin Cooper, Daniel Robert Cooper and wife Conda, David Alan Cooper, Rebecca Ann Dunn and husband Donald; Her brother Paul Wagner and wife Mavis; Her grandchildren Bo Deaton and wife Amanda, Victoria Rivers and husband Darci, David Cooper Jr., and Stephanie Cooper. She had 4 great-grandchildren: Cameron Deaton, Devon Deaton, Shawn Rivers and Austin Rivers.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 27, 2012 at the Fort Smith National Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, January 26, 2012 at Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith, AR.
