Marcia "Rocky" Rodery

Marcia “Rocky” Silmon Coleman Rodery, 44, of Fort Smith, passed from this life October 27, 2017 in Fort Smith. She was born August 29, 1973, in Fort Smith, to Doug Silmon and Lynn Haynes Silmon Condra. Marcia earned the nickname Rocky at an early age. While house hunting, she was discovered playfully loading the back seat of the realtor’s car with rocks. Marcia would lovingly open her door to any friend who needed a place to lay their head. She loved animals, bottle feeding kittens, feeding every stray dog and cat that came to her door, and even compassionately raised an orphaned rabbit. She was playful, loving, and compassionate.

She is survived by her fiancé, Ty McDrummond; two daughters, Maddison and Makenna Rodery; her father, Doug Silmon and his wife Marie, and her mother Lynn Condra; a sister, Shauna Silmon; step-sister, Shannon Turner, as well as her maternal grandmother, Pat Roberts. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Marvin and Dorothy Silmon and her maternal grandfather, Harold Haynes.

A memorial service will be at 11:00 am Friday at First Presbyterian Church. A reception will follow the memorial service at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
