Margaret Cox

Margaret Cox, 88, of Fort Smith, passed away Sunday, September 2, 2012. She was born August 2, 1924 in New York City, NY to Dominick and Agnes Minella. She was a retired seamstress from Riverside Furniture. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and AARP. She was preceded in death by her husband J. D. Cox, brother Paul Pope and grandson Michael Cox.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 5, 2012, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Oak Cemetery.

She is survived by two sons Steve D. Cox and wife Ginger of Van Buren and Dave Cox and wife of Barbara Oklahoma City, OK, three grandchildren Jonathan McClain of Rogers, AR, Camy Cox of Tulsa, OK and Tiffany Sill of Nichols Hills, OK and four great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Otwell, Staton Cox, Jay Gill, Dave Ferguson, Jonathan McClain, and Billy Cox.

The family will visit with friends Tuesday evening September 4, 2012, from 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM at the funeral home.

The family wishes to express their appreciation to Methodist Nursing Home staff, Peachtree Hospice and Dr. Gretchen Orosz for their loving care and friendship.
