

Marilyn Huie, 88 yrs old, passed away on Easter Sunday on Hospice at Mercy Hospital. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church for 45 years. Marilyn worked at Woodlawn Memorial Cemetery for more than 25 years. She was in Eastern Star, member of Liberty Chapter OES for 43 years and traveled the state of Arkansas as Past Grand Warder. She was also a member of the Red Hat society. She loved fishing, boating, camping and spending time with her family and many dear friends.
She was born in Jefferson City, MO to Albert and Fannie Toon
She was married almost 60 years to Hervy Huie. They were married in Sallisaw, OK. He was Assistant Fire Chief.
She was preceded in death by her youngest son, Richard. He died in 1953. Her son Charles died in 1975.
Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Calvary Baptist Church with burial to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
Survived by her son David Huie and wife Ginger of Ft. Smith and Daughter-in-law Carolyn Cooper of Ft. Smith, her five Grandaughters whom she loved; Sarah Bell (Dr. Chris Bell), St. Louis, MO, Gina Pitts (Bryan) Tulsa, OK, Samantha Stuart, Denver, CO, Sheila Blair (Scott) Ft. Smith, AR, Debra Linn Hannah (Ken) Fayetteville, AR. She is also survived by seven Great-grandchildren whom she was very proud of
Tyler (Desiree), Logan and Aaron Pitts all of Tulsa, OK and Jackson Bell, St. Louis, MO and Brittany Bradley, Dallas, TX and Dustin (Becky) Bradley, Ft. Smith, AR. , Tiffany (Anthony) Todd, Fayetteville, AR
Pallbearers will be David Huie, Butch Edwards, Dustin Bradley, Robby Lee Flesher
Bob Gleason, Jerry Bruce Goodman.
Visitation will be 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at the funeral home.
