Mark Oliver Newman

Mark Oliver Newman passed into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 . He was greeted by his beloved daughter Vicki and his parents, Elsie and Moniel. His spouse Nita along with children and grandchildren were with him as he left this earth.

M.O. Newman began his career with Campbell Soup as a salesman in 1951 and retired as a district manager in 1988. He and Nita moved to Beaver Lake in Rogers , AR and spent many happy years fishing and entertaining a legion of friends.

We will miss our spouse, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. We take great comfort in knowing we’ll see him again one day. All events are according to God’s time table and M.O. had assured us he was ready to wind it up.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Juanita Burris Newman, his children Mark E. Newman and David E. Newman, as well as his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation and viewing will be 10:30 AM – 11:00 AM Thursday, April 14, 2011 , at Bland Chapel United Methodist Church in Rogers , AR. Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 AM at Bland Chapel United Methodist Church . Burial will be at 3:30 PM at Rose Lawn cemetery in Fort Smith . All services are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith .
