I taught with Miss Bessette at the middle school in Van Buren. She was a wonderful teacher who cared about her students. Her students all loved her and would work hard for her. She was a great teacher to follow.

I taught with Miss Bessette in the early 80's at Van Buren Middle School. We often swapped cross stitch patterns, which she loved to work on at that time. What an accomplishment for her to have taught for 47 years! I will always remember her indomitable spirit and love of teaching. She was a tiny lady with a big presence. May she rest in peace.
