Mary Brooks

Mary married William E. Brooks on June 1, 1962, and together they shared 48 wonderful years of marriage until his passing in 2020. Their life together was filled with love, family, and many cherished memories.

Mary worked in the cafeteria at Subiaco Academy for 27 years before retiring. She truly enjoyed her work, the people she worked alongside, and, most of all, the students she had the opportunity to know throughout the years.

Mary was an avid football fan, with the Subiaco Academy team holding a special place in her heart. She proudly cheered them on but was always happy to watch just about any football game she could find on television. She also enjoyed sewing, crafting, and baking. Mary was a member of a bowling team, and she and William enjoyed riding motorcycles together as members of a motorcycle club.

Mary was never one to sit still and was always on the go. She had a generous heart and was the kind of person who was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed it. Helping others came naturally to her, and she gave freely of her time, energy, and love.

Above all else, Mary loved her family. Her children and grandchildren were at the center of her world, and she took great pride in being there for them, supporting them, and sharing in their lives. Everything Mary did was done with love, and that love will remain a lasting part of the lives of all who knew her.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, William E Brooks; her parents; her brothers Buster and George Reichart; her sisters Phyllis Ross, Dorothy Wittstruck and her infant sister Georgie Ellen Reichart.

Left to cherish her memories are daughter, Cena Jeremiah and her husband Rodney; son William E. Brooks; grandchildren Butch Meister and his wife Crystal, Amber Cross and her husband Jake, Bret Meister, Carter Crawford, Emily Brooks, and Kristen Church; as well as 16 great-grandchildren, sister Judy Wiltfong, numerous nieces and nephews and other family and friends who will miss her dearly.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
