Mary "Mimmeo" Donberger-Rye

Mary (Mimmeo) Donberger-Rye, 96, of Barling, AR passed away Saturday, December 15, 2018, at Ashton Place Health and Rehab in Barling, AR. She was born November 25, 1922 in Sebastian County, AR to the late Rhinehart and Carrie (Weindel) Greb. She was retired from General Electric/Trane. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Barling.

She was preceded death by her first husband, Raymond Donberger and father of her children; her second husband, Roland Rye; her daughter, Rita Spahn; and her grandson, Greg Spahn.

Rosary will be 5:30 PM Tuesday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with a visitation to follow from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 AM Wednesday at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Barling , AR with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith.

She is survived by her daughters, Mary Dean, Lucy Biggs and Sandy Chaffin; nine grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and sixteen great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Mary Ann Johnson, Ramona Garcia, Melissa Rivers, Tim Spahn, Stan Biggs, Travis Biggs, Steve Brown and Rodney Chaffin.
