Mary Evelyn Owens Forshee

Mary Evelyn (Owens) Forshee, 76 of Ft. Smith passed away Monday, January 18, 2016 in Warner, OK. She was born September 1, 1939 in Tallapoosa, MO to the late Richard and Jeanetta Dockins. She was a retired CNA from Brownwood Life Care Center and of the Southern Baptist Faith. She was a caring wife, who adored her husband of 57 years, Ronald. She was also a very loving mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Mark Forshee, her daughter Tracy Forshee, her brother James and his wife Nancy, and four grandchildren; Donald Parker, Heather Roberts, Gracie Woodward, and Katrina Forshee.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Friday, January 22, 2016 at Fentress Mortuary Chapel with burial to follow at Oak Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Fentress Mortuary in Fort Smith.

Mary is survived by her husband Ronald of the home, her son Gary Forshee and his wife Janie of Bloomfield, MO, daughter Sandra Fondren of Ft. Smith, sons Danny and Tommy Forshee both of Ft. Smith, daughter Virginia Kellum of Tulsa, OK, daughter and her husband Sabrina and Colton Woodward of Alma, and daughter Tiffany Forshee of Ft. Smith and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great, great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Gary Forshee, Edward Cooper, Tommy Forshee, Jason Parker, Colton Woodward, and Candy Roberts.

Visitation will be 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM Thursday, January 21, 2016 at the funeral home.
