Dear Family, I am saddened to see where Mary has passed. I have many fond memories of her from the years she was my softball coach in the 70's. I am thankful I got to enjoy having lunch with her and a few others about a couple of years ago. We played catch up and laughed about the times she was known as coach to me. We talked about playing at Fort Chaffee for the people who came over to make a better life for themselves and their families. Such fun times we shared. I will always remember Mary, (Coach). I know she is with those that had been waiting for her to be with them and our Savior Jesus Christ. Fly High Coach, Fly high.

To David and Gwen and their families,

My prayers go to you in the loss of your mother. Mary and I were in the same class in high school. I moved away from Ft Smith after high school and never lived there again. I only returned to visit my parents and didn't see David and Mary but rarely while there. I saw her again at 50th high school reunion. It was good to touch base with her.

I must confess I didn't realize that David and Mary had two children. I knew about Gwen. I am happy to know that David will carry on the family name. I had 2 daughters and so the line dropped with me. David and I were first cousins.
