Mattie Marie Barton, 96, of Fort Smith, AR passed away on February 23, 2022. She was born on June 17, 1925 in Fort Smith, AR to William W. Robison and Frances Flowerseed Robison. Mattie was a charter member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Fort Smith.
She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Earl A. Barton and four siblings.
Mattie is survived by one daughter, Linda Barton of Fort Smith; one son and daughter in law, John and Leslie Barton of Fort Smith; one grandson, Levi Bess of Fort Smith.
Graveside service will be 2 PM, Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at Fort Smith National Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church, 2200 Phoenix Ave, Fort Smith, AR 72901.
