Maxine Hubbard, 89, of Lavaca, formerly of Fort Smith, passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2023. She was born on October 20, 1933. She was retired from Area Agency on Aging and was formerly a self-employed beautician for several years. Maxine loved her family and friends, but most of all, she loved Jesus.
She is survived by her daughter, Vickie Walls (Danny) of Spiro, OK; her son, Preston Hubbard (Kelly) of Lavaca; a sister, Shirley Morris of Van Buren; four grandchildren, Brandy Bassham-Choate of Fort Smith, Jessica Sotherland, Shane Gordon and Josh Hubbard, all of Lavaca, ten great-grandchildren, two great- great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at Edwards Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Danny Walls, Josh Hubbard, Kane Bassham, Shane Gordon, Chance Sotherland and Dennis Ruiz.
