Melmo Elvin Holleman, 91, of Fort Smith passed away Thursday, March 20, 2014 in his home. He was born March 14, 1923 in Boles, AR to John and Susie Parsons Holleman. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II, a retired business owner and a cattle farmer. He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Ruth Stinnett Holleman of the Home; one son, Stanley and wife Vicky Holleman of Fort Smith; two granddaughters, Libby Lee and husband David, and Dusty Colburn and husband Jamie; five great grandchildren, Drake and Stone Lee, Sage, Salem, and Sawyer Colburn all of Fort Smith; two sisters, Merle Pryor of CA., and Charlene Watkins of Waldron, AR; and two brothers, Valton Holleman of Boles, AR and Howard Holleman of Parks, AR. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Monard and B.C. Holleman. Pallbearers will be Drake Lee, Stone Lee, Sawyer Colburn, Mike Burchett, and Richard Dillard. Private Family graveside will be held in the U.S. National Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
