Melvin Barton, 87, passed from this life June 22. 2024 in Fort Smith. He was born March 18, 1937 in Orlando, OK to Joseph Earl Barton and Josie Mary (Turman) Barton. Melvin was a welder and carpenter and he enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Melvin is survived by two sons, Randy Barton and his wife Mary, and Wilbur Barton; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
There will be no public viewing.
Funeral Service will be 10 Friday June 28, 2024 at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
