

Mike spent his childhood in Lepanto, Arkansas. As a teenager, he worked at Liberty Cash Grocery, a family-owned business. After graduating high school, he played college and minor league baseball before proudly serving his country in the U.S. Navy.
Following his military service, Mike worked for many years as a merchandise manager with Wal-Mart, serving at multiple locations. He later began a career as a corrugated box designer, working for several paper product companies, including Weyerhaeuser and International Paper, where he retired.
Mike lived life with humor, creativity, and a deep love for his family. He enjoyed painting and was known for his quick wit, infectious sense of humor, and ability to make those around him laugh. He will be remembered for the joy he brought to others and the lasting impact he made on everyone who knew him.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, William and Pauline Cole; his brother, Terry Cole; and his son-in-law, Todd Beren.
He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Jean Cole; his son, Eric Cole and wife, Sara; his daughter, Tracy Beren; his stepdaughter, Janell Daggett; and his grandson, Logan Cole. His love, laughter, and presence will be deeply missed by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Mike will be laid to rest at Fort Smith National Cemetery. Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
