

Mildred Gray Neal Hamilton, 90 of Fort Smith, passed away Saturday, August 29th, 2015. Mildred was born March 28th, 1925 in Pocola, OK to John and Lona (Pipkins) Gray. She worked in the grocery business for many years and later was secretary for The River Valley Golf Association.
She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Her greatest job was as Mamma and MaMa to her kids, grandkids and great grandkids. She was a Christian and lifelong member of Pocola United Methodist Church in Pocola, OK. She spent her life helping people, family, and friends, never asking for anything in return but love, and that you do well. Besides spending time with family, she enjoyed fishing and golf.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband Billie Neal, second husband D.L. Hamilton, son Billy W. Neal and five brothers and sisters; Henry, Paul, and Robert Gray and Lena Karl and Susie Farmer.
Survivors include her daughter, Debbie Neal Wise of Fort Smith; grandsons, James Williams (Christie) of Van Buren and William Cantrell (Robbin) of Hackett; great grandchildren, Gage Cantrell (Shea) of Okinawa, Japan, Mason Cantrell and Cody Hulsey, both of Hackett and Taylor, Taryn and Tanner Williams of Van Buren, as well as many special nieces, cousins and friends.
Services will be 12:30 P.M. Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Nikki Carter officiating. Interment will follow at the Fort Smith National Cemetery.
Family will greet friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Stan Gray, Don Becker, Jay Williams, William Cantrell, Mason Cantrell and Cody Hulsey.
The family of Mildred would like to thank the following people for her special, loving care; the Peachtree Hospice staff; Louise, Carrie, Dr. Barnes, Kim, Amber, along with Peachtree Hospice volunteers Shirley and Ms. Claire and Chris.
