Nadine married Charles Trawick in 1955, and together they shared 66 wonderful years of marriage before his passing in 2021. This year would have marked their 71st wedding anniversary. As a devoted military wife, Nadine supported Charles throughout his 20 year Army career, moving their family across the country and around the world to each new duty station. After his retirement, they continued to enjoy traveling together and cherished attending military reunions.
Family was the center of Nadine’s life. Her love for her children and grandchildren was evident in the countless family meals, gatherings, and treasured moments they shared together. Food was her love language, and she found great joy in cooking, entertaining, and making sure everyone who entered her home felt welcomed and well fed.
Nadine was a Christian and believed in Jesus Christ. She was formerly a member of Glad Tidings Pentecostal Church.
Nadine is preceded in death by her devoted husband Charles Trawick; parents Herchel and Opal Crabtree, sisters Lucille Lee and Sue Parks; and brother Burl Crabtree.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, David Trawick of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Brenda Elliot and husband Gerald of Muldrow, Oklahoma, Carol Jenkins of Centerton, Arkansas, and Paul Trawick of Van Buren, Arkansas; sister Anita Eubanks of Barling, Arkansas; brothers Gene Crabtree of Muskogee, Oklahoma, and J.R. Crabtree of McAlister, Oklahoma; granddaughters Tajlee Harrower, Jamie Davis, and Jennifer Pacheco; and great-grandchildren Xander, Kiah, Kinley, Ethan, and Grace.
