Born April 15, 1944, in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas to Colonel Fred Crossett and Gladys Crossett, she spent much of her childhood in New Jersey while her dad served in the military, later moving to West Lafayette, Indiana. She graduated from the University of Arkansas with a BSRN in 1966, married her college sweetheart at graduation time and lived in various places as they built a family and a life together, including 30 years in Magnolia, Arkansas where she was active in the local community and church, and even earned a BSBA in Accounting and a CPA license in her 50s. Wanting to be closer to her family, she moved to Fort Smith in 2008.
She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of almost 56 years, Frank Roberts, sister Sandy (Don) Helt of Punta Gorda, Florida, daughter Felicia (Tony) Baumann of Rogers, Arkansas, son Doug (Joanna) Roberts of Boone, North Carolina, daughter Faryl (Ken) Rossi of Fort Smith, Arkansas, seven grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.
Special loving thanks to those who helped love and care for her the last two years, including Gail Seamster, Paula Wiggins, Amanda Larue, Teresa Wright and various others, including those with Mercy Hospice.
Funeral services will be 10:00am Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following at Antioch Cemetery near Owensville, Arkansas at 3:00pm. Services are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Rye Hill Baptist Church or to the Alzheimer's Association.
