Natalia Apolinar, 78, of Fort Smith, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2022. She was born on September 26, 1943 in Guanajuato, Mexico to the late Delfino and Amalia Mendez Salazar. Natalia was retired from Southwest Glass Company and a member of Christ the King Catholic Church. She loved to cook and she loved her grandkids. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Alfredo Apolinar, Sr.
Rosary service will be 6:00pm Friday, August 19, 2022 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel, Funeral Mass will be 9:00am Saturday, August 20, 2022 at St. Boniface Catholic Church. Interment will be at Roselawn Cemetery.
She is survived by two daughters, Mercedes Rodriguez and Mariana Jimenez (Pedro), both of Fort Smith; two sons, Alfredo Apolinar, Jr. of Fort Smith and Marcos Apolinar of Mexico; four sisters, Maria Luisa Arredondo, Ursula Lopez, Engracia Segura and Obdelia Salazar; three brothers, Roberto, Manuel and Rodolfo Salazar; eight grandchildren, Mark Apolinar, Angelo Rodriguez, Rebecca Balleza, Kayla Apolinar, Isaiah Huerta, Christian Apolinar, Mia Apolinar and Karina Jimenez; eight great grandchildren, Jaxelli, Jayden, Adriel, Lillian, Maiyaella, Amara, Jesselle and Elva.
Pallbearers will be Abel Balleza, Pedro Jimenez, Angelo Rodriguez, Isaiah Huerta, Christian Apolinar and Ruben Apolinar.
Public viewing will be from 12:00pm to 6:00pm Friday at the funeral home.
